Basketball Madness! A Fun Way to Review ELAR Skills in March.

Two words.

Basketball. Review.

With that certain… trademarked sports game taking place in March, what better way to join in on the fun but with centers/stations revolving around basketball? I have the PERFECT product for you to transform your classroom into a day of fun review!

Keep reading to see why you download the product, what’s included in the download, and a few tips on how to get started!

🏀 You will build stronger relationships with your students.

  • Meeting students where they’re at is the KEY to building relationships. Allowing them to partake in fun activities that they are actually invested in will let them know that you care about their interests.

  • Not only this, but YOU’LL have fun, too! Having fun with your students is the best part of teaching and will strengthen the relationships between you and your students AND with their peers as well.

  • Station cards with directions on how to play all 6 games AND related worksheets to go along with the games. Most are editable depending on the content. You get to add your own questions, so you very well can reuse this for many passages for years to come in MANY grade levels! Score!!!

    • The games are: Dice Question Stems, Tic-Tac-Toe Connections, Question Vocabulary Matching & Flipping, Worst/Distractor/Correct Basketball Roll, Making Inferences Ring Toss, and Comprehension Strategies Basketball.

  • 12 signs to label the station rotations (some say “Drill” and some say “Station”).

  • 6 team logo design worksheets, where students can color and decorate their team logo.

    • The different teams are: Tigers, Eagles, Lions, Sharks, Panthers, and Alligators.

  • 6 team pennant design worksheets.

  • 1 blank pennant design worksheet.

  • 6 team jersey design worksheets.

  • 1 blank jersey design worksheet.

  • 2 shoe design worksheets.

  • 21 banners of alternating colors. Some have basketballs on them and some have the *cough* March basketball game name spelled out.

  • 7 posters that say “Way to go, *insert team name here*!”

  • 9 posters with motivational sayings (basketball-themed, of course) on them.

  • 10 posters with quotes from NBA players.

🏀Fourth, make sure you go through and edit the slides you need to have edited, including adding questions based off the passage you decided to review with your class.

Have fun!!!
