Saint Patrick's Day Decor Kit - March Bulletin Board or Door Decorations

Whaaaat?!?! It’s almost March (or… it is March, depending on when you’re reading this) and you don’t have a decoration plan yet?! Well, it’s a good thing you’ve stumbled across this post because I have just the thing for you.

Drum roll please…

A Saint Patrick’s Day Decor Kit, ready to go just for YOU!

Keep reading to see why you should download this resource, what’s included, and some tips to get started!

So… why should I download this?

Umm, I’ll give you some reasons why!

☘️This resource allows you to mix and match styles, with THREE options for bulletin board themes!

  • You’ll get “Our Class is a Rainbow of Possibilities”, “This Class Sham-ROCKS!”, and “Our Lucky Charms!” Many resources out there do not have this many options, so you’ll get more bang for your buck!

☘️You can use this for years to come.

  • Because of its versatility, you can use the same resource for many years. If you get bored with one theme, just pick another!

☘️It will make your students feel at home and take ownership of their classroom.

  • Students want to come to school to feel welcomed and safe. Many of them may think of it as their second home. It’s important that we make our spaces inviting to our students so that they feel good about their classroom and have a sense of pride! This resource allows for students to take part in the decorating, as it includes printables for them to color and add their name to so you can place it on the bulletin board or door.

☘️It will encourage participation and classroom engagement.

  • Because students are allowed to take part in the decorating, they will feel ownership over their classroom and will therefore become more willing to participate and engage in the learning environment. Students who do not feel welcome and who do not have ownership over their space will simply be unwilling to work. This decoration kit and the activity involved may help with that in some respect.

☘️A JPEG file is included so you can let your machine cut for you!

  • This may start a robot revolution, however, so the PDF version is also included so you can cut it yourself if desired. 🤖

Wow! Okay, so what’s included?

MANY cool things, that’s what! 141 pages to choose from, in fact!

There are:

  • 13 border styles (straight - 10"x2.5"; scalloped - 10"x3"). Some are solid colors and some are patterns.

  • 7 banner styles - shamrocks, rainbows, coins - classic Saint Patrick’s Day items!

  • 5 poster styles with different sayings:

    • “You’re my Lucky Charm!”

    • “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!”

    • “The Paddy Don’t Start ‘Til I Walk In”

    • “I’ve Got the Luck ‘O the Irish”

    • “Beware of Leprechauns”

  • 15 unique clip art printouts

    • Rainbow, coins, leprechaun feet, leprechaun head, shamrocks of all different shapes, horseshoes, and a pot of gold.

  • 3 bulletin board themes and student printables. Titles have two different sizes (smaller - approx. 5" tall; larger - approx. 9" tall)

    • "Our Class is a Rainbow of Possibilities!" comes with the letters as well as rainbow student printables. The word “rainbow” is colored like a ROYGBIV rainbow.

    • "Our Lucky Charms!" comes with the letters as well as horseshoe, shamrock, and rainbow student printables. The word “lucky” is in both green and gold.

    • "This Class Sham-ROCKS!" comes with the letters as well as shamrock student printables in black AND green. The word “rocks” is in both green and gold.

  • Everything is a typical PDF file, AND a JPEG file for cutting machines! Woohoo!

I’m sold! How do I get started?!

☘️ First, download the resource! Go to my Teachers Pay Teachers store to check it out!

☘️ Second, decide if you want to use your robot cutting machine, or by hand. The cutting machine may be more precise. If you cut by hand, I would use an X-ACTO knife.

☘️ Third, after you print and cut, LAMINATE! This will make sure that it lasts a long time. I use my own laminator, which I got from Amazon. Don’t forget your lamination sheets! The ones I linked are the ones I use. Lots of sheets for relatively smaller price AND they work very well.

☘️ Fourth, the world is your oyster! Or… the bulletin board is your oyster or… something like that. Consider using Better Than Paper as your background (it truly IS better!!), which my husband uses for his classroom. Here’s the Amazon link to the one he got. HOWEVER, I use FABRIC as my background. It’s super easy, super cute, there are many designs to choose from, AND it lasts a long time. Score! I got mine from Joanne’s, I think.

☘️Fourth, once you have the bulletin board set up, have your students decorate the printables however they desire, including their name if that’s your vibe, and display their work. They’re going to love it, and so will the teachers in your school!

Happy decorating!
